Ms. Norbeck founded C-Wise Design and Consulting Services in 2007.

She is a sustainability specialist currently working on Cypress Villages, a mixed-use green neighborhood in Fairfield, Iowa featuring permaculture and LEED platinum homes.

She teaches green design and biomimicry and does LEED consultation on buildings across SW Iowa. 

She has a broad background, including ecology, women’s studies, Fulbright research of Swedish Ecovillages, a Master of Architecture, and LEED consultation services on over a dozen projects. She currently serves on the Fairfield City Council, the board of the Iowa Chapter of the USGBC, and the Heartland Regional Council of the USGBC.
