It is a third-party rating system administered by the U.S. Green Building Council and Green Business Certification Inc. and designed to promote healthy, efficient, and cost-saving buildings that enhanced the wellbeing of the environment and building occupants. It is the most widely-used building rating system in the U.S. and in the world.

The largest barriers to projects pursuing LEED are usually cost and lack of expertise. At C-Wise, we believe third-party verification of green building practices is essential to creating a built environment that mitigates environmental harm and uplifts communities. LEED provides the framework for sustainable design, and LEED certification ensures that it's executed as planned.

At the heart of  the LEED certification process is the project checklist which is built around nine credit categories. Each category highlights a key aspect of sustainable design and provides a clear framework for measurable sustainability goals. With 110 points and 8 prerequisites, teams work toward one of four certification levels:
